Roof Cleaning - Roof Stain Removal

What are roof stains? Do I need to replace my roof?
The ugly stains you see on your roof, and around your neighborhood, are caused by algae. What is growing above your head is an algae named Gloeocapsa Magma and this plant life loves to make its home on homes all across the United States.  This freeloader is not harmful, but its presence creates the ugliness no one calls an "upgrade" on a home.

This algae also is joined by fungus on your roof.  These create the black streaks and discolorations, as they grow on shingles.  How do they get there?  These are airborne.  You can have a brand-new roof, but your neighbors' roofs have algae and fungi.  These are blown from their locations to yours.

How do these grow as they do?  Wildlife and large plants or trees can help algae and fungus grow heavy in spots.  While these ugly freeloaders can grow just about anywhere, they grow best in humid environments and shady locations where the sun does not keep roofs dried out.  Another reason they grow on shingles is the limestone content in the shingles. Algae and fungi use limestone as a food source.

There are many services and products designed for roof cleaning.  Not all are equally good values for homeowners.  Some products and services can create consequences and risks never suspected by good people just seeking a simple and complete solution for their stained roof, flagstones, decks, and patios.

Some products harm vegetation beneath roof eaves or near downspout extensions.  Some roof-cleaning services use products that kill roof stains and also damage or kill carefully selected, beautiful, and expensive plantings.  These same services selecting products for a "cheap fix" and a higher profit margin often also are eager to "get in and get out."  Their staffs are untrained in safety, resulting in high risks to homeowners.  They often are unprofessional in customer care.

Many promises, a good sales pitch, and a low bid from such services may appear to be a bargain.  But damaged plants, needless lawsuits, or headaches from unprofessional people, are no bargain.

Our products are safe.  Our methods are safe.  Our staff is professional and dedicated to customer care.  That is the best bargain and investment of hard-earned cash.  More that this, your investment keeps on working after we are gone.  Our stain-blocking technology helps prevent future stains from returning.

If you have stains on your roof, siding, gutters, deck, patio, anywhere algae and fungi grow, we can apply our products.  Whether you have a property with a few or many unsightly problems, let us resolve them quickly to improve the appearance of your valued home.

And we always are willing to perform a demonstration cleaning to illustrate our confidence in our work, and in your pleasure and satisfaction, once the job is done!
